Seabin Foundation Wins! Keep Australia Beautiful Awards 2024

Keep Australia Beautiful is a renowned organisation. It has dedicated itself since 1966 to inspiring Australians to take action for a cleaner, more sustainable environment. This year’s awards ceremony celebrated incredible individuals and initiatives driving positive change. 

Seabin Foundation is thrilled to announce that we have won a prestigious award at the 2024 Keep Australia Beautiful – Sustainable Cities Award ceremony! The recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to combating marine pollution and fostering community engagement to protect our waterways. 

Accepting the awards on behalf of Seabin Foundation was Marcela Meyer. Marcela is Head of the Ocean Health Lab, whose leadership and expertise continue to drive meaningful progress in marine conservation. 

We came highly commended in the Waterways & Marine Protection category with our Ocean Health online course! Seabin Foundation’s course is free and developed to help people of all ages gain the knowledge and skills needed to protect marine ecosystems. We won in the category Litter Prevention: Clean Waterways Award, with our Keep the Turf Out of the Surf Litter Prevention campaign! This campaign aims to raise awareness about synthetic grass and plant greenery and advocate for sustainable alternatives. Discover more about the campaign HERE.
