Seabin Foundation was proud to be one of the three environmental partners championing ocean conservation this year. At the iconic Cole Classic in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. As one of the world’s largest open water swims — with nearly 6,000 swimming participants this year. Cole Classic is an amazing event where ocean lovers can connect and make a meaningful difference by raising funds for cleaner seas.

Seabin Foundation Stall Cole Classic 2025

Together with Surfrider Foundation and Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS), Seabin Foundation hosted a stall sharing insights into the work we do at the Ocean Health Lab, our current “Keep the Turf out of the Surf” litter prevention campaign, and Seabin’s impact on the fight against microplastics.

We also were very proud of our colleague Marcela Meyer, Head of the Ocean Health Lab, for completing the swim! Congratulations Marcela!

Thank you to Cole Classic for inviting us to be a part of such an exciting and impactful community of swimmers and ocean enthusiasts! We can’t wait to see you again next year, sharing our mission, and inspiring action for cleaner seas.

Lastly, thank you to our awesome volunteers on the day who enjoyed answering all your questions on marine conservation, selling our beautiful merch, and promoting our free online Ocean Health Course.
