Meet Arabella, a science student at UTS and an intern at Seabin Foundation! With a lifelong love for the ocean, Arabella has enjoyed all activities from riding waves on the surface to freediving underneath. Now studying Marine Biology and Climate Change at UTS, the decision to study the ocean was easy. She has thoroughly enjoyed her studies as she gets to learn about something she is passionate about.

In August, we welcomed Arabella on board as an intern with Seabin Foundation, after she had taken all the steps required by her university. She has been doing valuable work across multiple areas of Seabin Foundation’s operations from data collection to litter prevention campaigns, social media, policy research and public outreach. Through this internship, Arabella has been able to apply theoretical knowledge from her coursework to real-world environmental challenges and conservation efforts.

“I decided to do my internship with Seabin Foundation as what they are doing is what I hope to do with my career.”

We are thrilled to have had Arabella on board for now nearly four months and couldn’t be more grateful to have counted you as part of the team!
