Participants will discover innovative solutions such as Seabin™ technology through engaging videos and learn from cutting-edge research at the Seabin Foundation Ocean Health Lab. The course also examines how river systems contribute to ocean waste and the effects of ocean acidification.
Suitable for ages 16 and up, it includes quizzes, reflections, and activities to support learning. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate and join a network of organisations and individuals committed to ocean conservation, with opportunities for further involvement and mentorship.
Firstly, the Seabin team will share with the world what it does best, via short and clear informative videos.
Secondly, each video will be accompanied by short interactive written lessons.
Then, each unit will offer a possibility to dive deeper into the concepts introduced, encouraging anyone to become a leader, mentor, or even an ambassador with us.
In addition to all the above, adepts of aquatic sports will be presented with possibilities to combine their role as athletes, with the preservation of marine environments.
The online course is designed to align with key concepts from high school curriculums, so that it can be adopted by teachers in part or in full.
