As part of Seabin Foundation’s mission to cut plastic pollution from its source, we are working on litter prevention education campaigns to investigate solutions to reduce the plastics we see entering Sydney Harbour every day, and we need your help!

We hope to gain insight from a variety of people, from a variety of communities, about how they feel towards artificial grass and plants. From our ongoing work, we know they are a form of plastic pollution in our environment and oceans. As they have become increasingly popular, we would like to understand more perspectives, as to why this might be.

There are no right or wrong answers, and we value everyone’s perspective, knowledge, and ideas. This qualitative data is imperative to our research and campaigns.

We are focusing on 3 main branches in this campaign focusing on artificial grass and plants:

      • Venues & Events
      • Sporting Fields
      • Schools & Playgrounds

Completion of a survey gives you the chance to be in the draw for a Seabin Foundation merchandise prize, including a t-shirt, hat, tote bag, dry bag, mug and sticker!

Note: Make sure to add your email address at the end of the survey to be counted in the draw!

The winner will be announced on 10th October 2024.*

*Anyone can still fill up the survey after this date, however without the chance to win the merch prize.

Who are we hoping can participate in these surveys?

Anyone! We hope to gain insight from as many individuals from all ages, communities, from around the world, and all walks of life. However, one of the branches might be more relevant to you. For example:

Venues & Events: The general public, business owners, venue managers, event organisers, and people who attend events and go out to bars and restaurants. Anyone’s input on this survey is highly appreciated.

Sporting Fields: Anyone who participates in the sporting community – players, parents of children and teens who play a sport, anyone who works in the sports industry.

Schools & playgrounds: Parents, students, teachers, and anyone who works or has worked in childcare.
